They still did not refund it not to mention the lady had a really bad attitude and was African-American and was unwilling to be kind or

Liked: The room was quite nice for the price. The staff were great but need a better general management on site to guide them. Nice hotel with great potential.
Disliked: The towel linens were stained with make-up and bed linens were stained with what appeared to be blood. When asked for fresh linens it took two days to get them. When I offered to make my own bed the housekeeper was very willing and made our bed with perfectly clean linens and replaced our towels. You need a better linen service. Another guest complained about dirty linens while I was checking out. It just seemed like the manager was off site. Everything was less than expected for the quality of the hotel. The staff needed more supervision but were always friendly. They just seemed to have lack of motivation. I think if a manager was there, they would not be smoking outside the entrances, there would not be stains on the carpets in the halls, the halls and elevators would be vacuumed. The breakfast would not be self-serve…. Guests were having to dig through cupboards to find supplies. When asked if there was more milk, they said the food truck doesn’t come today. It seems like there is a Dollar General or a Walmart within 1-2 miles. I could go on and on. The staff are precious people, they just need guidance. They need to feel needed by their managers. In summary, the hotel was poorly run but the staff were trying the best they seemed to know how.

Expected more

Liked: The location is amazing - walking distance to everything you will need in Springfield. Parking is free and convenient located. The rooms looked refurbished - the furniture was newer.
Disliked: We arrived around 10pm and even though we had provided our arrival time there was no-one at the reception to meet us. When an employee finally showed up she was being rude and didn't provide basic information such as breakfast/parking etc, we had to inquire about everything. The room lacked a fridge and the toiletries looked like they were left there from the previous guests.
