Starlite’s genuine welcoming hospitality exceeds...

Liked: I loved the option for ice cold air conditioning. Single queen room bed was super comfortable, and bedding was newer. Rooms furnishings were in good shape and clean, even if outdated a bit.But what I loved most was the LOVELY couple who own the Starlite Motel. They were so hospitable and accommodating. We didn’t have time to use the very clean looking pool, but the gated area was lined with lush green potted plants in August, that distracted from any bareness that may come from a pool in the middle of a parking lot. It was such a chill vibe next to retro white metal gate around it. Loved. I use Booking sometimes to help navigate the abundance of lodging choices in unfamiliar locations, but do yourself a favor and call the Starlite front desk directly to book, you’ll notice owner’s welcoming demeanor immediately, even over the phone.
Disliked: Last minute, I added on second room to my reservation during our two hour drive to the Dells, directly through the owner. It was a double queen, to accommodate a last minute family member joining. The large double queen room did have a smoking odor and heavy air freshener scent to it. But my two family members who stayed in it, acclimated. We were on an impromptu, one night adventure and felt fine with our set up. Plus, I love a quaint motel. The single queen was very clean and had no odor, as well as new bedding. So, I have a feeling rooms may have been being revamped in stages.

Liked: Very smooth check in. Able to accommodate lower level room which was a large, end unit.
Disliked: Plastic under sheets.

Dated lacking modern amenities.

Disliked: Very dated..no cable TV...HVAC unit was very old and the room was uncomfortable. Only blinds on the large windows and the room stayed lit all night from the lights outside.
