The Hotel's Location and Staff...
Liked: As a solo traveller who arrived in Bologna in the middle of August, words cannot convey how appreciative I was of the hotel's proximity to the train station, as that really eliminated a lot of the stress and hassle that would otherwise be associated with commuting to and from the airport. The city's main square was also just a short walk away, and a number of other useful amenities (e.g., good quality restaurants, cheap laundromats) were right within the hotel's neighbourhood. I had several questions for the front desk staff over the course of my week-long stay, and they were invariably attentive and patient in dealing with each one (they also spoke excellent English). While I didn't make much use of the other facilities, my room was well furnished, inviting, and always very clean, so overall this was money well spent and I'd be happy to stay here again.
Disliked: One of the few drawbacks of being so close to the train station was the fact that there would inevitably be some train and street noise that would reverberate up to the room at night, but overall it wasn't too difficult to cope with. Something I never managed to figure out, though, even after several days at the property, was how to turn off the light in the bathroom above the mirror. My room had quite a collection of light switches - not all of which appeared to be connected to something - but none of them ever seemed to make it go completely black in the bathroom, so I'd always have to sleep with the bathroom door closed so the light wouldn't bother me. Italian outlets are also a little different from EU ones, so travellers should be prepared for that - though, to the hotel's credit, the staff did allow me to borrow one of their converters for the duration of my stay. Lastly, as clean and modern as the bathroom was, the shower door didn't always seem to be waterproof, and so my floor mat would quickly become flooded (and therefore unusable) every time I showered - which also meant that I'd end up leaving damp footprints all over the bedroom's beautiful wooden floors, and I'd always feel very guilty about that.

Liked: If you need to be near to the train station, perfect location. The room was spacious. Everything was thought. There is a huge pillow menu. The bed is very comfy. I would stay longer next time.

Liked: The hotel is right next to the train station which is great for those arriving by train. However there are a lot of homeless people and unsightly characters around the station . The rooms are a bit dated and the electronic lock systems are absolutely NOT user friendly.
Disliked: The room door lock system. Not user friendly at all.

Great location, the room we...
Liked: Location and Staff were great. The location across from the train station was extremely convienient for us as we had day trips planned and used the Italian rail system. The breakfast was pretty good, Bar in Hotel Lobby was very nice and bartenders friendly.
Disliked: We had huge issues with the electrical system in the room. The circuit breaker threw out consantanly and had to be reset. Power surges blew out light bulbs and the electronic room key failed to work and maintenance could not fix it. We were given a metal pass key to get into our room. It was never repaired and there were no rooms available so we had to deal with the inconvenience.
