Liked: Good location, very friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere especially during the complimentary social hour in the evening, and for a reasonable price.
Disliked: The facility is a bit under-maintained (windows and heaters particularly), the breakfast is too basic and only disposable plates, cups and cutlery are used.

Liked: Cozy and a little quirky. More character than a chain hotel brand. "Bed and Breakfast vibes without the social expectations. Good breakfast (continental+) and fee NY Times included. Very comfortable mattresses (firm). Free overnight parking on street.
Disliked: Temperature control in rooms via baseboard heaters. Would be nice to have a little more lobby seating.

Superb

Liked: Good breakfast included and nicely redone historic property. Fun location at the end of Golden Gate Park.
Disliked: We were fine but might be an issue in the summer since no AC. Not surprisingly you have to pay about $36/day to park in the lot across the street.

Liked: Fabulous location so close to Golden Gate Park. So many nice little extras - water bottles, great cookies in the afternoon, snacks from 5:00 to 6:00, nice to have breakfast in the hotel. Staff always very nice and helpful.
Disliked: Nothing. I would stay there again without reservation.
