Superb

We really enjoyed our stay...

Liked: This historical property was close to everything we wanted to experience in Salado. The rooms had central heat and air and the beds were very comfortable. They also had white noise machine on the night stand which helped with the traffic noise.
Disliked: We wish the restaurant would have been up and running.

A lovely place to meet...

Liked: I like the layout of the property which lends itself to privacy. I appreciate the tile floors which are cleaner than carpet. The Heritage suite had a king bedroom , 1 1/2 baths, and a separate sitting area with pullout sofa sleeper and small kitchen area. There were two private balconies- one off of the bedroom and one off of the sitting area.
Disliked: I miss having a coffee shop on the premises (years ago there was one) and I miss the old Stagecoach Inn restaurant which was an iconic restaurant with historical significance. Unfortunately, as time has passed, I-35 has become noisier and has made access more challenging.

Liked: It was nice and quiet until 6am. The people upstairs were noisy.
Disliked: Bathroom floor looked dirtyNeed at least a throw carpet for sound reduction

Liked: Texas Live Oaks & other landscaping, historical significance, the town of Salado itself, the pool area, our balcony room
Disliked: Maybe a small coffee maker with teas & coffee for in room use.

Exceptional

For what we paid could...

Liked: It’s a beautiful property.
Disliked: Before there was an above and beyond attitude, it doesn’t appear to be like that anymore. The main tv in the living room was broken and when this was relayed to the front desk it was said that they were aware but nothing could be done since all rooms were booked, we also had riches in the bedroom.

Liked: The rooms are beautiful, the bathrooms are so unique and stylish! Balcony was a lovely amenity. The entire property is very well kept & newly refreshed. Love the robes although we didn’t use them, they are cute! Great location, walking distance to all the shops & such. The vibe of this place is great all around, wish we would have had a chance to check out the pool & patio, ect!
Disliked: Lots of noise at night. Maybe due to the tile flooring, but I heard my neighbor’s every footstep until about 2 am; then starting again at 6 am. They do provide a sound machine in the room so I’m assuming they are aware of this issue & are working to resolve what they can. Also the parking lot is a bit confusing especially at night, needs some better lighting for sure!

Nice quiet area. Cleans rooms.

Liked: Quiet!!! Felt safe as single traveler. Lawn was beautifully manicured. Lots of room between buildings. Easy access to restaurants and venues.
Disliked: A mini fridge would’ve been awesome. But not a deal breaker.
