Liked: Friendly staff, located a short if interesting walk from the station (footbridge over river, nice view), good breakfast. Two nights in good comfort would recommend.

Liked: The breakfast was good with a good choice the location was quite close to the train station and the Westminster and the staff were lovely.
Disliked: The shower in our room was just a trickle and took ages to heat up but we coped with it even though i was unable to was my hair.

Liked: Very clean room, excellent location, less than 10 minutes walk from centre, friendly and helpful staff, would definitely visit again !
Disliked: Can't really complain, maybe better quality sausages on breakfast, but that's it really

Liked: Staff lovely very welcoming, breakfast was well cooked and presented. Near to the centre so only a short walk through the park. Lovely warm greeting upon arrival
Disliked: The queue was far to long so didn't manage tea and cakes at Bettys cafe

Liked: Good confortable warm room ,breakfast very good , friendly staff led by Caroline who can fill you in about york where to go and things to do. Car parking available at £10 per night.

Best York guest house we've...

Liked: Fantastic peaceful location, just a few minutes walk from the rear of the railway station, and a less than ten minute walk along the riverside to town and York Minster.The owner and staff were wonderfully down to earth, friendly and accommodating. The room was spotless, comfortable, good facilities and had plenty of hangers in the wardrobe - always a plus! Dining rooms were lovely and the breakfast really tasty with eggs cooked to perfection, though we didn't have the sausages. We have been visiting York every December for years, and throughout the time one of our daughters was at University there, and wish we'd found this guest house sooner.Thank you for a lovely stay, we will return to you every time in the future.
