Exception service and hotel, a...

Liked: My second stay at the St James Hotel & Club and I received the same exceptional service from the staff at the hotel, I was given a room upgrade to a fabulous room with huge (and extremely comfortable) bed and dressing room. So often at hotels you aren't able to open windows to get fresh air so I was extremely pleased to be able to get fresh air in the room in the morning. Wonderful bathroom too with roll top bath and a shower with seat.

Liked: Excellent location Lovely staff. Fantastic room. Upgraded to the St James Suite which was truly amazing, with views across the London roof skyline to Big Ben. Thank you for making our stay so memorable

Disliked: The room was the size of a walk-in closet. Barely enough room to walk around the bed, let alone navigate luggage to retrieve items. When room service arrived, there was no room for the tray, even on the desk. There was barely enough room for my bowl of soup, which I needed to eat from a table, and the television was then 6 inches from my face. The room was freezing, and even when asking for help with the thermostat, no one could get it to work. Pillows were very flat. I would have canceled once I saw the room, but apparently, I would have lost the 500+ London pounds this room cost. Either this is the norm at this high-priced blue blood establishment, or they decided i wasn't the type of person they preferred in their hotel and stuck me in the room around the corner across from the back door to the front desk.. Either way, I won't be back, and they won't miss me.

Disliked: The apartment's balcony was unpleasantly untidy. During my stay of a few days, I noticed that there seemed to be very few people working in the kitchen, as there was a long wait for scrambled eggs...
