Really disappointing.

Liked: The staff who tried to deal with our problems and other guests we talked to were great.The food is also great.But not telling people they have to pay £10 for a cooked breakfast on adverts is petty when you are paying £200 a night and deflates the experience. Pity the staff who try to persuade guests to cough up. Be interested in the statistics of the number of guests who actually have a cooked breakfast. In our 3 days we didn't see anyone..
Disliked: Internet was bad in the evenings when I guess many guests were using it so couldn't watch streaming programmes like iplayer and netflix which were on offer or they kept breaking up. Tested the broadband speed and it was 2Mb or less in the evenings. This was compounded by having the aerial services breaking down too.Swimming pool was too small for the number of guests.

Liked: Staff were lovely and friendly, food was good, very clean. Lovely pool
Disliked: Our room was absolutely tiny. Could hardly move. Couldn’t even get in the shower properly.

Liked: The service from all the "crew" was excellent from the time we arrived until our departure. The room was comfortable and had the essentials to make our stay pleasant, including completely gin & tonic, thats a first but much appreciated, no real view, but we knew that from the outset. Sea view room would be nice, but it was a last-minute booking so no problem. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice wether continental or cooked at extra cost, reasonably priced as well. Would we return, most definitely.
Disliked: Didn't like the walk back from the town, all uphill. Thankfully, A1 taxis were very reasonably priced. This, however, didn't spoil our break.

Liked: Everything but the evening meals which is why not a 5* rate. First evening, had to send back the starter. The 'park your car for you' was a lovely touch
Disliked: As above, the food was not as good as expected

Disliked: Cold hotel, insecure as doors to spa opened, no safe to secure valuables, Difficult to get loungers in spa as used by locals, room very small with way oversised cushions, had to put chair on table so small, towel rail not working, room not serviced properly one night, but cushions put back on bed
