Nice hotel. Good food

Liked: the food was very good.
Disliked: could have done with tea and coffee facilities in the room. And a mini bar would have been the cherry on the cake

Liked: Location. Parking facilities. Staff in general.
Disliked: Management told us they have a customer booking issue with booking.com where the double occupancy keeps re-setting to single occupancy when booked on line. Hotel insisted we paid an extra £90 on arrival and it was our mistake for not looking more carefully. After checking my old emails I found proof of confirmation from both booking.com AND the hotel that our booking had been made correctly and the issue lay with St.Georges Hotel. We have been regular guests at the hotel over the last 25 years and on this occasion we are not impressed with the management (regular hotel staff can't be faulted).

Liked: Staff helpful and polite.Quality and quantity of food excellent.
Disliked: A ' pot' of tea or coffee for each table would have been even better.

Good

Liked: not up to the usual standard at reception.
Disliked: some of the waiting staff ( particularly male) were untidy in appearance.

Disliked: One member of staff at breakfast obviously knew a couple of guests and spent most of her time chatting to them neglecting her duties in offering refrehments/clearing plates

Room with a view. So...

Liked: Location is perfect. Plenty of on street parking if you aren’t lucky enough to get a space in the hotel car park. Staff are very friendly and professional. Breakfast was very plentiful. Rooms are very clean and have everything you need.
Disliked: Unfortunately we weren’t contacted to tell us that as our booking was a rooftop room we get a guaranteed parking space, which would have been helpful to know before we had paid for on street parking.

Disliked: The only thing I did not like was that there was a Whiskey festival on, on the Saturday that we arrived. Lots of drunk people, an inappropriate man in the lobby later in the evening. A drunk person fell up the stairs. It didn’t seem a nice welcome for us.
