Great birthday stay

Liked: Had a lovely Sunday Roast meal here and stayed overnight as a birthday treat for my husband. One of the only high standard hotels in the area for a very reasonable price. Lovely grounds to walk around as well as surrounding area being the oldest part of Plymouth. Room was high spec and very clean and comfortable. Especially liked the free standing bath that I used and didn't leak/ gave hot and cold water and emptied quickly unlike a few other baths like this I've used in properties. Would highly recommend eating and/or staying here even if just as a treat. Staff were all highly trained in good customer relations and very polite and knowledgeable.

Lovely hotel will definitely visit...

Liked: The breakfast selection was good however my poached eggs were more like hard boiled.
Disliked: Our room was extremely warm ,the heating was off but the room was uncomfortably hot so didn't sleep very well.

Excellent quality and comfort.

Liked: We were pleased with the comfort and cleanliness of our room. Breakfast and dinner were excellent and the staff attentive and helpful.
Disliked: The staff were sometimes a little stretched and one meal was delayed by a "misunderstanding" in the kitchen.

Liked: Very friendly, welcoming staff. Excellent facilities. Good food and comfortable room.
Disliked: The bath wasn't clean, we didn't use it.

Liked: Stopped here before, nothing I can say other than its great at all levels. Feels luxurious and the food throughout is equally great, really comfy rooms.
Disliked: Just in hot periods, the rooms can get hot, but fans are available.
