Liked: Touch of history. Large rooms. Nice park around the big house.
Disliked: Breakfast is large and is individually tailored, which prolongs the total preparation time significantly.

Liked: beautiful house, fabulous grounds.dinner and breakfast was good.
Disliked: The heating was on hot all night and couldn't turn it down, we had to open the window.the house lacked atmosphere.

A great place to stay...

Liked: A wonderful stately home with a lovely ambience even if somewhat genteelly aged. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff.Dog friendly with lots of good walks in the adjacent parkland.
Disliked: Nothing

Bit more attention to detail...

Liked: Location was good, directions were good, room well equipped and had decent sized cups instead of the tiny cups you can barely fit a teabag in in most hotels.
Disliked: Unfortunately the housekeeper or whoever was last in the room left the window fully open which unfortunately not only meant the room was freezing, but the bathroom was full of mosquitos, which we spent a lot of the evening squishing. There were some in the bedroom as well so we never really relaxed because we thought we were going to get bitten.
