Great location and friendly staff....

Liked: Pros: Great location. It was across the street from the beach/beach access and also one block over from the Carlsbad village. Very convenient. The area feels safe generally and there are a lot of great restaurants within walking distance.Breakfast is pretty good for free hotel breakfast standard. A nice variety of options and a waffle maker so make fresh waffles. I particular liked that the dining area is spacious and there isn't a crazy long line for breakfast (we were here in mid-Feb). The staff is very nice. The hotel is clean. We had no problem with find a parking spot in the underground parking garage. We had a room with 2 double beds on the first floor. It was relatively quiet. Occasionally we heard people talking right outside our door but it's not frequent and not outside of what you would reasonably expect.
Disliked: Cons:The room was smaller than I expected. It was in a long rectangular shape. Our room looks out to the very tiny swimming pool so we had to draw the curtain close the whole time for privacy. I'd imagine it be much nosier in the summer time when more guests use the pool. When I booked, it says 2 queen beds but I think they are more full size beds.The biggest complaint I have is that the bathroom uses a barn door with an opaque glass. Never mind the fact that you cannot lock the door and lacks privacy, the biggest issue is that light can come through the opaque glass. So if we want to use the bathroom when my kids are sleeping, we had to do it in the dark or wake everyone else up with the light (the light is very bright and not adjustable). I didn't like the barn door but I could understand it was for space-saving purpose, but it would be better if they can change out the type of barn door to minimize the light coming through.

Liked: Beautiful room..felt safe. Loved breakfast.
Disliked: Disappointed that it was first floor overlooking pool area so I could not open curtain. Also price was elevated well after I booked room.

Liked: Great location virtually on the beach in the village of Carlsbad. Excellent amenities. Walk around the village for a little shopping. Cute boutiques close by! Priced well. Queen suites slightly larger than kings. Staff are all kind. And restaurant attached to the hotel. Includes breakfast near the lobby. Would stay again!
Disliked: Need extra coffee in the room. If the view matters make sure you ask for one otherwise 50/50 shot.

Disliked: My room was a little to far from the breakfast room and I would have liked some body lotion in the room.

Liked: Location was amazing, breakfast was delicious Staff courteous and helpfulWe’re planning another trip soon. Once we parked we could walk to beach and town within minutes. Beautiful
Disliked: Nothing everything was wonderful

This hotel is overpriced.

Liked: The hotel staff is awesome. Very helpful and friendly. The staff at the Tower 39 rooftop were especially great after the long day we had.
Disliked: The head guy at the Tower 39 bistro was extremely rude.

Nice stay in Carlsbad

Liked: Location was excellent. Staff were good. Shower was excellent and super clean. Sitting area was nice to have.
Disliked: Beds were a bit low and hard but pretty typical. Bathroom door was barn type and did not completely block view from bed area. No separation of toilet from the rest of the bathroom. Would prefer more bathroom privacy in general.

Excellent hotel with friendly welcoming...

Liked: The breakfast was excellent, the room was exceptionally clean , staff were really friendly and welcoming. Location was great. Would definitely stay here again.
