A wonderful place to stay...
Liked: This was a perfect place for me and my family to stay when going to Carowinds. The room was so much larger than we were ever expecting it to be. The price was also reasonable. We will be back.
Disliked: Our only issues we experienced was the shower drain was clogged, the spout in the show just came right off the wall and you have to get to the breakfast early because it was slammed when we went the final hour.

Liked: One of the best value hotels I've stayed at in a long time. Clean, friendly, modern,new, absolutely wonderful stay.
Disliked: Breakfast was good, could have been better especially with the huge lobby there. More offerings.

Came to celebrate NYE at...
Liked: The room itself was decent and clean. Wall paper was peeling from tops of walls though. Great location to Carowinds.
Disliked: The staff! Check in for us was a nightmare and the staff member was not helpful, nice or courteous. I have stayed in this hotel before but will not be recommending it after this experience. Booked through booking.com, payment cleared days before arrival, checked in through Marriott site day before, got confirmation email, got text room was ready, staff said payment did not go through and basically not her problem. Told me I would have to contact booking.com. I showed her all of my paperwork and credit card statements and explained it was NYE and businesses would not be open. She again wasNot helpful or polite. I asked if this meant I did not have a room and she said you can if you pay $172 again. I explained I was not paying for a room twice and never had an issue before. She said the card they had on file for my name did not match up with my card and therefore payment did not go through. She said maybe you can file with your credit card company. I was standing at the desk trying to make a dispute with credit card company and husband was on the hold with booking.com and she rudely said can you move so I can help others. There was one person in line and another employee working and available. As my husband and I were to the side working with booking.com and credit card company (not very long after she asked me to move) she looked over to me and said it came through. I said excuse me. She said your payment came through. I did say well I guess I need to cancel my dispute now with my credit card. She then put our room cards up on the counter, no other comment or I’m glad it worked out or I’m sorry, nothing! Placed the room keys on counter, never said room number, here’s where you are, here’s how to get to your room, hours for things… NOTHING! Luckily I have stayed here before, but not family. Then as we had the keys and were walking off with children she said while looking to the side, not even at us, and low voice that breakfast was from 6-10 am.

Liked: Breakfast was good but staff member tending to breakfast was outstanding and dedicated to superior service. Bar service was also excellent.
