SpringHill Suites by Marriott Charlotte Airport

Hotel is nice, but noise from interstate and planes overhead was irritating. Elevators were not working. Staff was nice. They do charge a convenience fee which is not listed on. That was irritating since I only slept there. Pool was closed as well.

Disliked: I was charged a convenience fee upon checkout, and I did not use any conveniences. Convenience fee was not mentioned when I booked the hotel.

Liked: Staff responded to negative issues very quickly and offered solutions. Staff was very professional and friendly; the hotel was clean and the location was convenient.
Disliked: Fitness Center was undergoing a renovation and my room did not have hot water.

Some of the nicest and most helpful people are employed at this hotel. And when I left my favorite pillow, I called and they immediately knew my name, had my pillow and ready to ship it back to me. That is customer service!

Liked: Superior client service!

Disliked: Two security guards woke us up at 3 a.m. to gunfire.

Liked: There was nothing about this hotel that I liked.
Disliked: I took my daughter and her friends here for her birthday and it was the worse experience. I called before I booked to ask about the pool and the receptionist stated that they had a pool but failed to inform me that there was no water in the pool. The hot water kept going out after 2 people took a shower so it took us hours to even get ready and out the room. The cleanliness was not acceptable. I would never ever book this hotel again. The fan and light in the kitchenette did not work so I could cook without worry about if I would set something off.

Liked: The staff was understanding of the situation and the manager gave us a partial refund for inconvenience.
Disliked: The pool and hot tub were both down, the hot water was not working so no shower, and the phone in our room was not even connected.

Liked: The shuttle driver to the airport was the highlight of the stay.
Disliked: At first, even though we have a confirmed reservation, we were told that there was no vacancy. Only one person at the front desk was helpful, and eventually, she found a room for us. The room wasn't cleaned well.
