Liked: Location, size of room, good bathroom
Disliked: Pool was full of debries (leaves and twigs) for the 3-day stay. A pity, as i was looking forward to a swim in the great sized pool. The TV wasn't working properly when i arrived. Unusual as I would have thought the previous guests would have used it at sometime. It was stuck on a channel and couldn't be changed by the remote. The remote didnt seem to work, apart from turning TV on and off. This was eventually sorted 24-hrs later. My last stay here was a couple of years ago. At the time the hotel offered a full service restaurant. This time, I arrived on a Monday and the restaurant was to be open until Wednesday. The restaurant has changed and now offers a Asian style menu, that unfortunately does not suit my constitution. So I needed to drive to shopping centre, which was okay (only 5-mins away) for my meals.

Clean and comfortable rooms, nice...

Liked: The room was spacious, clean, and the bed very big and comfortable. The bathroom was huge and clean. I requested for a lake view room, and was happy that they honoured this request, however I didn't realise that the view of the lake is quite distant, and the immediate view I had was actually the carpark with the lake at a far distance above the carpark and shopping complex. It was still pleasant as there are many trees in this outlook. Great location for that part of town.
Disliked: The small lamps in the room could have been better; for the bedside tables they use cool white globes which don't give a nice ambience to any bedroom, plus they were quite dim. There was also confusion with the payment, as I was surprised that my credit card was charged higher than the price I made during the booking, which states it "includes taxes and fees". The property informed me that these are for the credit card fees that they were charged, and that this info is stated in the fine print, which I overlooked. However, this is the first time a property in booking.com has passed on a credit card fee to me. I expected my final booking fee to be inclusive of these fees as stated underneath the total price given at the time of booking. After much debate, the property agreed to give me a rebate for these fees as I was a long-term guest. Just keep this in mind when booking this property.

Springfield Lakes go to accommodation

Liked: Location is good, in a small shopping complex. Close enough to Orion Shopping Center.Free secure parking is great.Massive room.
Disliked: Cleanliness mainly in the bathroom area. Grout in the shower hasn't seen attention in a while. Blotches on the big wall mirror.
