Superb

Liked: The South Pier Inn was a comfortable place to spend two nights in a cold, snowy Duluth. The staff was helpful and friendly and the lobby was small but very inviting, with free coffee, tea, and even little chocolates. Breakfast was simple but fresh and local. The location is right next to the famous lift bridge. Overall a great stay.
Disliked: Only thing that I did not like was that the mattress was a little soft for my taste, but others may like it.

Love this place

Liked: Love talking with Betty and Dale at breakfast. They always thank me for staying and will fill me in on the latest local happenings.
Disliked: That big building going up next door is kind of annoying, but there is nothing Dale and Betty can do about it.

Liked: Accommodating staff. Breakfast acceptable. Water view beyond the parking lot.

Place is nice…location not the...

Liked: The breakfast is continental and okay. You have to walk outside to get to the lobby.
Disliked: We picked it because it said 2000 feet from the DECC. As the crow flies yes, but unless you can walk on water, no. It’s actually a .5 mile walk on slippery sidewalks.

This was my first stay....

Liked: The staff were amazing. The view from the room is worth every penny! Relaxing time in front of the fireplace eating popcorn they supply.
Disliked: The parking. The staff helped make it work for me
