Sonesta Simply Suites Clearwater, Clearwater

I really enjoyed this hotel. I booked two rooms for a friend and myself, and it was incredibly affordable and I got a lot for not a whole lot of money. The rooms were spacious and well accommodated, and the staff were polite and helpful whenever we had questions. I highly recommend this hotel.

Liked: Great place to stay if you're in the area for a while, good facilities such as laundry, gym, free parking, kitchenette with dishwasher, full sized fridge and microwave, new air-conditioning unit. It has everything you need and there is an appliance cupboard you can borrow from so you can cook all meals if you'd like to! I loved it here for the month I stayed, it was quiet and felt safe even if on the main road, the block is set away from the highway so its very comfortable and quiet for guests, with plenty of food options within a few minutes drive.
Disliked: Nothing else needed, only thing they could add would be a little coffee shop or some onsite food, but other than that it's perfect.

Simply Meh

Liked: At this time of year it was one of the few places available on short notice for under $300 a night.
Disliked: When they say “Simply” in their name, they mean more simple—as in absolutely no frills. The room, while large, was a little run down (refrigerator leaning, under sink cabinet worn and water swollen, metal bedside lamp table with rust on surface, etc). Pillows were very comfy but mattress was lumpy. This is a highway motel and, while perhaps in line with prices in the area, was less then I would hope for at over $200 per night.

Excellent hotel/suites with good parking...

Liked: Location was great for me, excellent parking and friendly staff. The room was recently updated a little and was very clean. I think most rooms have a kitchenette which is excellent including full size fridge, cooktop, microwave, as well as a dishwasher!
