Liked: The shower had good water pressure & temperature. The location is decent for shopping & about a 15 min drive from Essex Street in Salem. It's a dog friendly hotel. These are the only reasons it gets any stars.
Disliked: The hotel parking lot was not well lit up. They do not offer daily housekeeping, in anyway. We understand a lot of hotels have changed their policy on changing the sheets every day but this hotel doesn't offer ANY daily housekeeping. We stayed for 4 nights & had housekeeping once & only because we asked. The room was dusty, & the bed was horrible, so uncomfortable. There was a pull out sofa/loveseat in our room & we looked at sleeping on it but it was worse. One night I slept on the loveseat, not pulled out, just because I couldn't handle the awful bed anymore. We asked at the front desk if they had a fan we could borrow & they brought us a commercial sized, extremely dusty, fan to use. The furniture was falling apart. There is no breakfast of any kind included at the hotel but there is a "Starbucks" that closes at 9am sharp on the week days & 10am on the weekends. It would be nice if it was open until 10am 7 days a week or if they at least had a coffee maker, toaster, microwave, that were available to use in their large dining area. We booked the king sized bed guestroom & the bed barely fit. I literally had to walk sideways to get between the wall & my side of the bed. We would 100% not stay here again just because of the beds & the lack of guest room housekeeping alone.

Disliked: Very loud at night until midnight each night. Rooms are dated. A/C was quite loud rattling at times.

Liked: It's a pretty clean hotel, although the first room we were given smelled strangely but a very helpful and polite receptionist changed the room for us and the other one was good. The mattress on a bed was too soft to my taste. One thing I want to tell you about is the location of the hotel. It's located on the backyard of a huge plaza, so when you exit the hotel you are looking at the back wall of Target and Staples. The good thing is that you are also looking at the back wall of Total Wine which was very convenient. The other side of the hotel faces an office plaza. Since we were staying at the hotel just at nights it did not bother us and the proximity of Total Wine was a pleasant surprise, we did not complain about the location at all. The breakfast is not included but again the plaza helped - there is a Panera Bread, you can either walk for 5 minutes, or drive for 1 minute there from the hotel, so breakfast was not an issue.

Disliked: staff- the front desk staff was very rude upon entering the hotel. We arrived pretty early at 830am for our check-in. While we knew that check in is at 4pm, there is also an option of checking in early if available for an extra fee. when we got to the hotel after traveling for 5 hours (red eye flight) and we inquire about the early check in, the front desk lady I believe her name is Amanda was very rude and made rude comments about checking in early. That's when I said why have signs or promote early check in for an extra fee if that is such a hard request to do. Per the front desk lady comments " we promote it, but we do not expect people to show up this early in a very nasty tone. Left such bad impression for your hotel as these individuals are considered to be the face of the hotel.

Superb

Liked: Really lovely hotel - had decorations for Halloween too and I love that little extra effort! Rooms were spacious and the bed was massive and very comfy! There was air con, coffee facilities and a fridge. Bathroom was clean and again spacious. Shower was a good temperature and power was good. We were on top floor so was very quiet too. Location is excellent - only 15 min or so drive from Salem (obviously traffic slows you down) and it is behind a Target so we were able to buy some drinks etc for the room. Staff were friendly and there was a nice area for breakfast, watching TV and socialising. There was a really nice pool area and although it was shut for October it looks like a really lovely place to spend a day! Cleaners wouldn't clean room unless you were there 4 days; however there is a notice in bathroom saying if you need anything or bins cleaned etc you just have to ask! I would recommend staying here.
Disliked: Breakfast wasn't included and was a tad expensive for what you receive, I think either included in price or slightly cheaper would make this hotel perfect!
