Location is great.
Liked: The location was perfect for our needs. The staff were friendly.
Disliked: The foyer and lobby looked to have recently been renovated, however, the rooms are in need of an update. The restaurant wasn't open during our stay (we stayed during the LA fires so this could have been a factor). There was a protest out the front of the hotel which was quite loud, however, staff were apologetic and offered to walk us out another exit if we wished.

Liked: The location and view were excellent.
Disliked: - Many of the staff were rude, inconsiderate, and seemed confused as to how to do their jobs. -There was a wet, mildewy spot on the carpet of our room when we checked in that produced an awful smell for the duration of our stay. - The sheets did not properly fit the beds. - There were bugs on the ceiling of our room when we checked in. - The shower drain was clogged upon checking in.- The carpet was extremely dirty.

Liked: The bell staff was efficient f getting us in and out.
Disliked: The unit was filthy. When I asked to cancel reservation, they agreed but demanded I vacate the property immediately.

Disliked: Disappointing Experience – Poor Communication & Hidden ChargesI recently stayed at Sonesta, and while the hotel itself was clean and well-maintained, my overall experience was frustrating due to poor communication, disorganization, and hidden charges. What was supposed to be a relaxing trip turned into a hassle from start to finish.Check-In Issues & Long DelaysUpon arrival, I was incorrectly charged for a stay that was already prepaid. My booking confirmation clearly stated “nothing to pay at the hotel,” yet the front desk still attempted to charge me. After going back and forth, a manager finally confirmed the mistake, but it was an unnecessary and time-consuming ordeal.The check-in process took so long that we missed happy hour, which was something we had been looking forward to. This trip was meant to be a stress-free getaway for my wife, who was recovering from major surgery, and instead, it started with unnecessary frustration.Hidden Parking Fees – Lack of TransparencyOne of the biggest disappointments was the lack of honesty regarding parking fees. I was told that valet was $43, so I said, “I don’t want to pay that much to park, I’ll just park in the garage.” The front desk staff simply said “OK”, without ever mentioning that garage parking was still $40. Had I known, I would have just used valet parking. It felt intentionally misleading, as if they deliberately left out that key detail. Guests should be given full pricing information upfront to make an informed decision.Checkout Billing Issues & Unreturned Incidental HoldAt checkout, I was unexpectedly told I still owed for parking and the resort fee, even though I had already paid what I was told was the resort fee the previous day. I was then informed that my earlier payment was actually for incidentals—something that was never explained to me at any point.Now, days later, my incidental hold still has not been refunded, and when I called to ask about it, I was met with an...
