Texas Spring Break
Liked: The room was spacious and clean.The towels were SO SOFT!There was a kitchenette, full size fridge.Close to a lot of restaurants, a HEB near by as well. Laundry facilities were free for guests. Staff was friendly and accommodating.Plenty of parking.
Disliked: There was one elevator for the entire building, and it was a small elevator.The hotel is spread out , so it was a long way to our room. There were some tiny ants on the counter in the kitchen from some crumbs but after wiping them away, they never appeared again.

Liked: The location was great for what we visited.
Disliked: The hotel smelled really bad. I understand that it's a pet friendly hotel, and animal will make a big factor in this. But a little more attention to this could have helped.

Liked: Friendly staff. They deserve raises. Especially the lady that makes breakfast. She was genuinely concerned with her performance and walked around to ask everyone if it tasted okay. It most certainly did.

Liked: The rooms were clean the staff for the most part was friendly and the pet-friendly nature made it great for our little puppies.I had an appointment at the Audie Murphy Hospital for a Neurosurgeon consult with one of the best neurosurgeons in the world to address my spinal issues, and this hotel was an excellent choice for ease of navigation to and from the VA hospital.
Disliked: We had a great experience until the front desk clerk charged us an additional $187.00 invoice. I have a broken foot and the first room we were in was not handicap-equipped (Romm #107) My wife asked if we could switch rooms to one that was handicap accessible but at the same price. The male attendant at the desk told her there would be no additional charge to accommodate my need for a handicap-accessible room. He said no worries mam room #109 is available and you guys can switch rooms. Well that did not come true they hit my card for another $187.00 and all the girl said she could do was apply a $30 reduction but I still had to pay for the upgrade which we were told would be an even switch. This was not cool and this overcharge we will never stay in one of your hotels again. I will not be lied to and I will not be swindled out of my hard-earned money. I had broken my foot for God's sake why kick a man when he's down?

Liked: The location was convenient to northwest attractions.
Disliked: The AC in my room didn’t work correctly. The control panel would not operate the at all. Had to open the windows to control the temp but then you could hear the traffic on IH 10 clearly. The drain in the bathroom sink was clogged. The floor around the toilet needed attention!The breakfast was the worst I have every had at a motel!!!!! The place is definitely showing it’s age.

Liked: The property was nice and clean for the most part.
Disliked: There were some cosmetic things, there were some damaged drywall mostly cracks due to shifting in the room. The room wasn’t ready for check in till 4pm and when we got there, the AC wasn’t working in the room, we told the front desk several, they sent someone- they said give a few minutes to cool down, it didn’t cool down. In fact it got warmer. Called again, and they said they’ll let there manager know. Maintenance came said the AC compressor wasn’t on. It would blow cold air but kept turning off. By this time it was about 5:40 we’ve been in a hot room and we cannot unpack because the room was still unbearable. Called front desk again, they sent maintenance, confirmed it wasn’t cooling let the front desk know that it was still warm, then they finally gave us another room.I understand that they had to try what they needed to do, however almost 2 hours in a room we cannot even relax in and start unpacking all because of the “let’s wait and see approach” made it difficult to feel comfortable from the beginning. And maybe most of the rooms were booked, I’m not sure but it was just to chaotic to the beginning of our trip with my family.
