Very central, comfortable stay- would...

Liked: Great location in East Midtown, close to great bars and eateries and a few minutes walk to the subway/bus. Surprisingly quite due to location of room away from the busy streets of NYC.
Disliked: It’s accessed via a very cool select entertaining venue, which meant at times the steps to the building were difficult to access and doormen operated. This was only an occasional issue but did make it difficult to get in or out at times. Definitely would not stop me from staying again.

Excellent, historic and efficient hotel...

Liked: As an old social club, the building is beautiful, and it's amazing to have a speakeasy with multiple rooms downstairs. Very friendly workers who will get you whatever you need. The room was comfy with lots of light.
Disliked: The hallways and elevator, in the dead of summer, could use some sort of air whether a conditioner or fan. Not a dealbreaker, but sometimes waiting for the elevator can get very hot. But that was my only gripe!
