Very good

Liked: Great views great location. Within walking distance to West End for cafes, restaurants, pubs and to Brisbane Entertainment and Exhibition Centre. Comfortable clean and friendly.
Disliked: The bathroom is getting a bit old with cracked tiles, and other signs of wear and tear.

Hot, noisy but good location

Liked: Good place to socialize, curtains on the bed, close to the city center, 20-25 minutes walking distance
Disliked: The room and kitchen were extremely hot, no aircon, only fans, was really hard sleeping at the night considering the high temperature and humidity in Brisbane. Very noisy, in particular on the rooms downstairs, kitchen wasn't enough big for the large amount of guests, same story for the toilets, not enough. Cleaness not the best, found a cockroach in my bed

Not cheap, but worth it

Liked: Decent wifi. Beds have curtains and there is a electrical socket next to each bed. There were lockers in my room (room of 8) which were big enough for my backpack. The common spaces are big enough for the people to chill around and are clean. A big kitchen and huge refrigerators. The place is within a reasonable distance from bus stations and from supermarkets. The staff is friendly. As a worker, I really appreciated the fact that the staff tries to enforce the "no noise after 10pm" rule (and screw the dumb French people who continue to talk loudly just under other people windows).I appreciated the "free stuff" shelves where I could find some gear to kick start my delivery boy journey. Nice sunbathing spot around the swimming pond. The free pizza weekly events are overrated, but I enjoyed the "paint your tote bag" event.
Disliked: The WC are located upstairs: not very practical. The kitchen is huge, but gets easily overcrowded during rush hours. Customers keep forgetting to close the refrigerators' doors, the temperature raises and food might become spoiled quite quickly. And to be honest, the place is a bit expensive: my main reason to not put a 9/10.
