Liked: Great value for money, friendly and helpful staff, dinner and breakfast were good. Room and bathroom were lovely.
Disliked: Restaurant and bar service were quite slow, hotel and communal areas quite dated.

Superb

Liked: Well situated as an overnight stop on way up to Fort William. This is our 2nd stay here and definitely recommend it. The staff are pleasant and accommodating. The cooked full Scottish breakfast provided is probably the best we have had, my husband particularly enjoyed the haggis which was an added extra with no charge.Drinks in the bar were excellent value for money.

A most enjoyable stay at...

Liked: The choice at breakfast was very good and the location was excellent. Will definitely use the Solway on our next visit to Gretna. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and made you feel at home.
Disliked: Early check out time.

Great overnight stay

Liked: Very clean. Well maintained facilities Lovely friendly and helpful staff and comfortable room. Food was absolutely excellent. Lots of parking also. Literally 2 minutes from the outlet village.
Disliked: Nothing

Superb

Liked: On arrival met by really helpful and friendly members of staff, accompanied to our room which was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We ate our evening meal in the dining room, the selection of homemade meals was really good and to a high standard. The waitress Sophie looked after us really well and was again on duty in the morning where we received a cheerful greeting. Plenty parking and close to the motorway
Disliked: Very Little we were pleasantly surprised with our stay.
