Transformed into a mediocre hotel

Liked: I have been in this hotel many times before 8-10 years earlier and it has transformed in a mediocre hotel. The good French restaurant is gone and the bar has changed into an ugly cheap atmosphere location. The rooms are still nice and clean, but no bar. The lobby has lost its atmosphere and the elevators are dirty.To be honest, this hotel needs a refit
Disliked: Dirty elevators. The carpet on the floor of the elevators are worn out and dirty and dust on the walls. Cheap atmosphere in the bar and breakfast room and lobbyDefinitively not worth the high price they are asking for

Liked: location and my room were great!
Disliked: service was shockingly poor! 1. I had to REMIND them to put a laundry bag and list in the room so that i can het service. And they STILL FORGOT2. Room service brought folks with soup. called room service and the repeated it again, twice. soup got cold while I waited.3. For 3 days, my body wash in the shower wasn't replaced. Had to use own.4. Checking in took too long. As did checking out. Staff weren't conversant with the payment system.5. Generally staff seemed to have low moral or we untrained.

Liked: This particular Sofitel did not feel or look like a French hotel, no luxury, and not well trained stuff. Not a good experience at breakfast.
Disliked: Hotel doesn’t really have a lobby, tiny reception area. Breakfast was not good, servers and cooks made mistakes.

Disliked: I did not get my invoice when I checked out they said it will be mailed it to me I found it strange still waiting.

Disliked: Front desk staff customer service
