Should be great when not...
Disliked: I think it was the first night the hotel had opened after extensive refurbishments. My door frame was still being painted! The paint fumes in the corridor were unmistakable. Also drop sheets in the corridor, so took away from the effect.

Clean, luxe and stylish weekend...
Liked: Clean, freshly renovated with a luxe ambience. The hotel has been recently renovated and was perfect for a weekend trip away. The bed was so comfortable and felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. The service was incredible and we were greeted with a bottle of wine and French sweets on arrival in our room. The new restaurant and bar was 10/10. Definitely want to go back to enjoy the rest of the menu.
Disliked: Check in is not until 3pm which felt just a tad late for interstate travellers. Unfortunately the gym was being renovated at the time which I wish we had known ahead of time.

Comfortable bed,lovely room, staff exemplary.
Liked: I am in a wheelchair so I often have difficulty getting around. The room was very roomy and the bathroom facilities were perfect for me. The proximity to Circular Quay and the city were perfect. Staff were very obliging and kind. We will be back for sure.

Pleasant
Liked: Location was great. Room was well appointed but very small.
Disliked: Asked for a twin room which we got but beds were very narrow singles. Door into very small bathroom was a weird split door arrangement. Check In and check out was impersonal...at a desk top. I couldn't check in successfully so needed to find a staff member to successfully check in. Not a great start...very impersonal, not welcoming. No paper info in rooms re facilities so all on TV. Couldn't find menues for restaurants . Was travelling with a child so wanted child friendly food. Eventually found a room service menue via phone ap. Still no child friendly food. All the digital process is not user friendly so I didn't feel " looked after" just frustrated and distanced from service. On last night went to bar and ordered a take away cheeseburger and chips for child and pasta for self as child wasn't allowed in Tilda Bar area. Came in plastic takeout containers without cutlery. Had to go back to bar to get cutlery. While the hotel is elegant and glossy it is not user friendly or providing the wonderful service of old unfortunately.
