Sofitel cancelled my stay a...

Disliked: The property cancelled my reservation a day before arrival. When I called them they blamed booking.com for it. On the other hand Booking.com said that it was Sofitel that cancelled it. I’m assuming the cancellation was so that they could give my room to someone else for a higher price. Because after cancellation, all they offer me was a private suite for $2000 a night.

Relaxing and luxurious.

Liked: The staff were wonderful and super attentive.
Disliked: The room service menu was a bit lacklustre especially the desert options.

Pleasant

Liked: A nice hotel, but quite exxy for what you get. The rooms, while clean and comfortable are very small. The pool area was super busy and there was a long line up for drinks. Staff seems to be run off their feet. Not really the standard of what you would expect when paying $1000+ per night. Great location though!

Liked: Nothing, unfortunately. I booked this hotel for my partners birthday and we didn't get to enjoy our stay they did not put the birthday surprise request per to my request on top of that they charged me for that service without receiving anything and they double charged us for 1 night stay. Mind you I we came from Melbourne and they didn't make our stay good Italian all about the money
