Basic accommodations at best -...

Liked: Staff was very friendly - the heat wasn’t working in my room and the front desk sent someone up to check right away and then gave me a new room when it couldn’t be repaired.
Disliked: Rooms were a little worn and many guests were smoking marijuana in their rooms (strong odors) despite the nonsmoking rooms.

Liked: I look for the basics when I travel. I have stayed here a couple of times. The freeway access is great. The staff, rooms and amenities have all satisfied everything I look for. The hotel is great value.

Disliked: The bathroom was cold, wasn't a heat vent, I decided that's why the door was wide open upon arrival.

Liked: It was comfortable and clean. Checking in and out was easy.

Adequate but not comfortable enough...

Liked: The breakfast did not offer healthy foods. The scrambled eggs were so high in sodium that they were inedible. Only white bread products and sugary cereals were offered. There was no person to request resulting bananas or fruit. Once gone, nothing left even though we were in the window for breakfast.
Disliked: The toilet ran loudly all night. The room was so tiny it was difficult to walk through.

With Reservations, Clean and Quiet...

Liked: The room was accessible which I require. It was clean and didn't smell. The breakfast was basic with the same menu daily. The tables were in need of repair and the walls needed paint. The attendant tried to keep the areas cleaned. She was pleasant and friendly.
Disliked: I did not like having to place a $50.00 deposit on my credit card for damages. I protested my feelings to the clerk. It had snowed previously in the day. Snow removal on the sidewalks was non existent as well as the parking areas. I took the snow shovel and cleared a path to the front door so I could unload our luggage. I saw two able bodied men who obviously worked there that were obviously unconcerned. I suppose because you are in Michigan you care less about the snow and let it melt off in April. I didn't like pets in the hotel. I think this is a transient hotel. I listened to men in the breakfast area talking about being released from jail with vouchers and comparing their crimes and their jail stay.
