Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and bed comfy. The breakfast was good and well stocked. We brought our Cairn Terrier for a first time motel stay and it worked out great.

Room definitely smelled like dog.

Liked: The pool and Hot tub was the best part. Breakfast is pretty good too!!
Disliked: The lady at the front desk was rude and then tells me the dog rules after I paid and had no choice. I was told one amount for dogs and get there to be told another amount. That was disappointing.

Won’t stay there again.

Liked: The facility itself was acceptable. Though I don’t understand why the rooms for disabled with roll in showers are on the third floor instead of the first. It was clean. They were nice towels. The bed was comfortable. There was a decent sized TV, though we are not TV watchers so that really made no difference to us, but others might find it a plus.
Disliked: First, you can ask anyone who knows me that I am not a complainer. I have some pretty difficult physical handicaps and I do the best I can with my husband’s help and I VERY rarely say anything negative. But…The facility is in desperate need of filtration for their water system. The water smells terrible and the shower water pressure is sub par. But more importantly - and I understand that the facility has no control over the weather- but what they SHOULD have is control over is keeping snow cleared, especially to the handicap parking spaces. I was using a walker but even so I had a bad fall when leaving because there was ice under the snow. I’ve lived in Michigan all my life. I’m familiar with ice and snow. But the snow was on top of ice which to me means it had been there for a while. This happened at almost 11 am. My stay in Traverse City was due to having a medical procedure the day prior to the fall, and between my disabilities and trying to avoid opening the incision from my surgery, it took me several minutes to get off the snowy ground even with my husband’s help. I can’t imagine what I would have done if my husband wasn’t right there. I was soaking wet by the time I got into my van.

Liked: I must say I was not expecting such a wonderful experience! All that you hope to find in the big name hotels were found in the Sleep Inn. Every staff member were so genuinely kind, friendly and courteous. The property was neat and clean, the hot breakfast was delicious and offered a large selection of items and the room was extremely comfortable. We were there for 5 nights and totally enjoyed this gem of a hotel and can't wait to return!!
Disliked: There was a slight odor coming from hot water. The staff indicated they had replaced an old water system and a remedy was soon on the way.
