A fabulous weekend getaway before...

Liked: A warm and welcoming hotel in the heart of Keswick on the Main Street. Beautifully decorated especially with it being December with all the Christmas decorations. The restaurant for an evening meal was lovely and the staff friendly. Breakfast was lovely too.
Disliked: Absolutely nothing…it was perfect.

Liked: It was a good location . The staff were friendly. Good breakfast . Nice room , very clean. Staff were helpful with car parking .
Disliked: Dinner menu was very limited in choice and quite expensive. Only had one evening meal which was good but there wasn’t anything else on the menu I would have liked . The menu was the same every day . We chose to have dinner elsewhere the rest of our stay due to the lack of choice .

Ideal situation for walkers

Liked: The Hotel is in a great location with excellent pubs shops and walks on the doorstep.The room was clean and fresh if a bit warm, clean towels and lovelytoiletries. Breakfast was tasty and cooked to order, plenty of choice too.Staff were mostly helpful and friendly. I needed a different pillow and the chsp who came to service the room brought 1 for me which meant I slept better.
Disliked: Waiting at the bar and it closing early. Rooms were a little warm.Our room door was a bit hard to open, entering the room the on our last morning the sprung bar on the top of the door snapped and swung into my face, luckily I was pushing the door so leaning forward and it missed my glasses but caught my head.Husband went to report it and maintenance came but said they would fix it after we left, however it meant we had to leave the room door open, meaning we had no privacy to use the bathroom etc. So we checked out earlier than we would have liked.On checking out the chap was more concerned that hopefully it might only be a quick fix, and it was unusual for that to happen, he didn't really seem bothered about us, and charged us for car parking which I felt he could have offered us lunch or free carparking as goodwill
