Not terrible. Staff lovely, but...
Liked: Staff were lovely and really accommodating, Money on reception welcomed and explained how hotel and restaurant worked, but was happy to move me to a ground floor room as no lifts. Hotel in separate building to reception. Free parking - there are parking warnings, but these can be dismissed at reception. Sealed gates so cars are safe. Place does feel safe which is nice. Room and bathroom did initially look clean and suitable...Tv worked - lots of channels and as a ROKU unit, could log into services. Good free internet. Warm,, unsure how to turn radiator down, but lovely to be warm. Once shower activated it does have good pressure and high temps. Is a static head so need to work out how to switch on and get in without the freezing spray first!
Disliked: Hotel is fairly tired and needs lots of work. There is a broken hanging window at the front of the hotel building. Basic tea/coffee supplies but they do have an actual glass - one up on Travelodge!Information states no food or drink in the rooms, but the only available on site food (no breakfast) is Indo/Pak/Eastern and whilst a buffet alongside a menu, all of the options (apart from dry nuggets and chips) were really really spicy and coriander on everything!! Dips etc were also spicy apart from the watered down coriander yogurt. I spoke to a manager about this and he looked confused, not aware what a korma etc was. Music on TV is REALLY REALLY loud!!I did try the eastern dessert - overly sweet carrot mash with apricot jam and whilst nice, not worth the buffet cost. No alcohol served but the Lassi was really nice, and well needed with the spice. If I stay again, I will be bringing food. Apparently no breakfast in the week, but also none during winter. Is typical indian/eastern content. Room had been decorated with new wallpaper and large bathroom tiles, but not to the best standard. Blinds broken, tear to carpet and concrete adhering to skirting board. Obvious where bathroom units had been moved and poor tile fill in. Mostly clean, but sticky tiles to side of toilet (I cleaned) and stuck, dirty toilet brush (unable to clean, left in shower) - did update receptionist about this. Shower with fixed head is tiny with no shelf or anywhere to put toiletries. There is a press soap unit but this is empty, though the hotel does provide the little tubes of shampoo etc, but again, no where to actually place unless on the floor. I showered with the door open and rested bottles on the sink. The bathroom floors have shiny slippy tiles, and no bathmat so an additional towel is needed, both to keep safe, and also to mop up the shower! I would stay again as not the worst I have stayed in, but the cost does indicate the quality.

Stay away from this place....
Liked: High ceiling and spacious room.
Disliked: Renting a room with broken windows ( smashed up window) in a cold winter is very silly. Hotel didn’t even offer compensation. No bedside table lights. TV cable broken. Toilet seat broken. Black mould in the bathroom. Not enough towels for two people. No drinking water. Most terrible place I’ve ever been to. Bed and breakfast has better quality.
