The hotel formerly a shooting lodge offers 18 individually designed rooms with attached bathroom with views over the surrounding countryside. 6 of the rooms are furnished with four-poster beds. Very disappointing and no value...

Liked: The big problem with this stay was the total unhelpfulness of what we later found out was the owners/ managers mother ? Prior to the stay over a week we tried to upgrade / change our stay to the winter warmer offer and this was totally rejected and a £470 stay ended up nearer £800 for 2 nights ??? And she was very unhelpful and to be honest rude

Great location breakfast staff was...

Liked: Great location most of the staff was great,
Disliked: The bathroom fixtures such as toilet seats and shower did not work properly. We requested it to be fixed and it was not . We stayed 3 nights

Very friendly team, superb food...

Liked: The team were absolutely wonderful, Jo on reception was so friendly and very attentive. The waiter who served us was called Daniel and he, again, was fabulous. the room was beautiful and the view was unbelievable, The food in the restaurant, both on the evening and in the morning was exceptional. we will definitely be back.
Disliked: The only thing I would say is the windows were in need of clean and I hadn't realised you needed too ask 24 hours in advance to use the hot tub, which meant we were unable to use it.
