Great hotel; wonderful location; excellent rooms but above all the lady at the front desk was so helpful, polite and went above and beyond to make our stay an experience to remember - she took it from good to great!

Liked: The staff was great, particularly Beverly. She went out of her way to help us decide what we could do in the city. She was awesome.

The Silversmith was a beautiful...

Liked: Our room had two full beds and sofa-sleeper and I was pleasantly surprised that the sofa sleeper was in its own little room! It was very spacious and very clean!
Disliked: The A/C was not running (the front desk said the system hadn't been switched over due to the early springtime weather fluctuations). So it was a little hot, and we opened the windows, but then it was noisy.

Silversmith - a beautiful stay

Liked: Great location, nearillennium Park, Art Institute, many bars and restaurants.
Disliked: The bar , lobby area of hotel and the room could use some improvements. Worn furniture and some wall paper damage.Not major, just noticeable and unexpected for such a historic hotel located in the heart of the city.
