Liked: Location and building was good
Disliked: Staff seemed bothered that We were there. We just finished a trip through 6 major cities in Europe and we found the service to be much more professional and courteous than in the Shinola. All around Detroit we found the service to be spotty with good service in some places and terrible in others. Shinola and Detroit need to decide if they want to be a service oriented spot or be grumpy for the rest of their lives.

The Perfect Hotel in Detroit

Liked: The hotel is gorgeous, San Morello and evening bar we're very enjoyable, and the location suited us well to go to a concert at Masonic Temple and see The Red Wings play. The hotel staff were all very friendly, professional, and accommodating. Hope to stay at The Shinola again someday soon!

Beautiful place, close to all...

Liked: Close to Comerica Park and Ford Field. We went to Tiger game and Lions game and was easy walking. The property is beautiful! Very clean and comfortable! Would book again when in Detroit.
Disliked: The property was wonderful but the person who decided to race his motorcycle up and down the street late at night was annoying.
