Exceptional

Liked: At check in, the young man made sure we had a room close to a door to accommodate our senior dog. We have stayed at the Shilo many times and find it in a great location for our needs. It is clean, comfortable, and quiet.

Liked: Very well done wow!! Inside and out very nice kodoos
Disliked: I understand it’s a conference hotel and there is a resort close, but a true breakfast would be a perfect stay. Bitter coffee and package muffin just leave the place in a bad taste

The staff was great; money...

Liked: The staff were very nice, very helpful. The grounds are very nice except for a broken sprinkler head in the dog exercise area. That was flooded. The room itself had clean linens and was spacious and did not smell badly like the hallway on the 3rd floor. The swimming pool was lovely looking and it was pleasant to sit in the gazebo next to the dog run area.
Disliked: The Shilo Inn has great potential and at one time it was probably excellent. Now it really needs some money and work invested to restore it. The hallway outside my room had a bad smell of...mold? Disinfectant over mold? That fortunatly didn't carry into the room. The airconditioner/heater fan was so noisy that it woke me up every time it cycled on. I could not open the window so had to leave it on.

Disliked: Mattress. Had a dip. Wallpaper peeling.

Liked: Convenience to the area. Centrally located.
Disliked: It could use updating. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was next door and not part of the facility; however, the service and menu were great.

Disliked: Room was not clean and in poor condition. Tub would not drain during shower.

Liked: Convenient, easy to reach, comfortable bed, plenty of hot water.
Disliked: Couldn't use tub, ice machine didn't work, limited amount of vending options.
