A beautiful experience, though over-priced.

Liked: The setting was spectacular. Our room had a beautiful view of the loch & was comfortable. Dinner was delicious, & so was breakfast. The hotel was charming.
Disliked: It was VERY overpriced, £475 per night not including breakfast or dinner. I was expecting a splendid room/suite for that price & it was very nice, but not exceptional. The restaurant did not have one of their white wines by the glass in stock, & had run out of smoked salmon at breakfast.

Lovely stay in stunning location...

Liked: Lovely cozy lodge in superb location over loch in remote location. Has the feeling of being something special. Friendly helpful staff.
Disliked: The room was a little small. The wifi was non existent in the bedroom so had to go downstairs to the lounges to access wifi which was a specific requirement. Also, disappointed there was no smoked salmon for breakfast

Liked: The place is very nice located in the forest on a beautiful lake the hotel is very beautiful the service is nice the hotel is decorated in a hunting style and is there to feel such an atmosphere

Liked: Shieldag is so beautiful, the property itself is in wonderful condition. It’s warm, very clean and very comfortable. The food is exceptional. Lisa and her team are doing a fantastic job.
Disliked: Nothing
