Disliked: We could not stay in our room due to the overpowering smell of cigarette smoke. I called down to the front desk and was told that there were no other rooms available. So at 1:30a.m I drove 2 hours home. This was my anniversary weekend and I could not enjoy a night away from home. When I booked the room, it was supposed to be a smoke free room. When I was checking out I was told it was a smoke free hotel. This was not the case. I have been told that the Sheraton would call the reservation company and refund me my money.

We used the Sheraton for a one night stay while we were in Norfolk for a concert. It was a great hotel, but lacked many things that cheaper hotels would have had.

Liked: Beautiful room; clean; great views; easy check-in.
Disliked: No refrigerator; charge for WiFi; late night food menu limited and expensive; mold in shower.

We were greeted nicely and the staff was very friendly. Allowed us to check in early for our reservation.

Liked: Great receptionist.
Disliked: There was no notice that my card was going to be swiped for $50 incidentals - then if nothing was ordered or damaged, it would be returned in about 2 days.

Just fix the revolving doors. It's a long walk to the front desk if one is carrying luggage. Thanks! :)

I throughly enjoyed the comfort of my room while visiting Sheraton Norfolk Waterside hotel. The hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly. The only downfall of my stay was an extremely rude bartender at The Dock restaurant that was downstairs. I do not remember the woman's name but I definitely will NOT return to that restaurant ever. Nor would I recommend someone eat at that establishment. This particular bartender was extremely rude, impatient and had an extremely nasty attitude. The Dock is probably a nice place to dine, but the only memory I have is the rude and very curt staff. First impressions are everything and I will never dine there again. If there is a next time, I would much rather hail a cab and take my business eleswhere.

Liked: The waterfront view was spectacular.
Disliked: There was one particular bar staff at the restaurant that was extremely rude and lacked all necessary customer service skills.

I am disappointed that there was no complimentary coffee and the rooms are average. I have stayed in better looking and more comfortable rooms.

Liked: Nice lobby; comfortable bed.
Disliked: Room was OK - lots of noise with the elevator shaft all night and day. Ice machine out of service on all floors; self parking too far away even with paying to park.

The room was lovely, clean and quite comfy. Provided in the room were Starbucks coffee and very high quality shampoo, conditioner and so much more - even Q-tips and an emery board. The room was equipped with ironing board and iron as well as blow dryer and personal make-up mirror. The view of the Waterside area from our room was awesome. All Norfolk Waterside attractions were within walking distance from this hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing, comfortable and memorable trip to Norfolk Waterside.

Liked: Prompt, courteous service upon arrival. Beautiful pool area with beach towels provided.

I paid for a harbor view and I did not have one. There was a nice gentleman who adjusted my rate accordingly.

Liked: Room was very clean and comfortable.
Disliked: Reception on the TV was poor. You have to pay for parking every night. I only stayed one night. It could get costly for multiple nights.

Liked: We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. All the employees we came into contact with were very helpful and friendly. Our was clean and comfy. Loved the decor. I would definitely stay there again.
