Overlooking Edinburgh Castle the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa is located in the financial district next to the West End business and entertainment area and a five-minute walk from Princes Street 1640 feet from Edinburgh Castle. The luxurious elegant rooms provide free wireless Internet access 24-hour room service interactive satellite flat-screen TV small sitting areas and bathrooms with a separate bath and walk-in shower. The large air-conditioned rooms have beautiful furnishings and mood lighting. At One Spa guests can enjoy complimentary use of the 19-yard swimming pool gym and fitness studios and can include in a variety of beauty and spa treatments during their stay (must be booked prior to arrival). The unique and recently renovated Thermal Suite and rooftop Hydropool experiences known as Escape at One can be enjoyed at a preferential rate. all in all, great.

Liked: spa and pool facilities were excellent. Staff friendly, great location.
Disliked: not able to have a drink at 11pm on a Thursday night, private party and no bar available.

Fantastic stay in the heart...

Liked: Loved the room, location, the club access was a lovely touch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Being so close Edinburgh Castle was really special.
Disliked: It is pricey and the breakfast in the club room could have been better. I would have preferred ala carte but I think the hotel has followed other people’s comments re a bigger buffet.

Average stay for not so...

Liked: - Some of the staff were great (special call out for Tyler in the restaurant) - The pool and sauna was lovely- The cleanliness of the room was exceptional- checkout was quick
Disliked: - Most of the staff were perfunctory with little by way of customer interaction- I had to queue twice to check in - The check in process was slow and a bit outdated (I mean who needs to use a pen to fill out forms in 2024?!?)- The room had a sewer smell that we woke up to in the middle of the night

Poor and not good value

Liked: Good location
Disliked: We stayed three nights and our room was changed only once and that’s because we complained and even then it was only remade not fresh sheets. So we had no coffee or tea milk etc . When we checked out we weren’t asked if we had a nice stay by the receptionist.We were asked if we left the “ do not disturb “ sign out as a reason why it wasn’t done and we absolutely didn’t. My partner was head housekeeping for years at a reputable hotel in Devon.There was boxing that prevented you sitting on the wc properly which was disappointing and the room looked tired.
