We came up for a family gathering. While we were the only ones at The Sheraton, we were very pleased with our accommodation and amenities.
Liked: Check in was quick, easy and very friendly staff. The room was very clean and nice. The hotel location was excellent for walking.
Disliked: Nothing.

Only stay here if you...
Liked: Location is good. checkout is at 12:00 noon which is not so common these days. The cleaning staff is friendly and take care of the room in a timely manner.
Disliked: This is clearly a conference hotel, and therefore they do not put the extra effort in being a nice hotel since they get their business anyway. Here are some issues we encountered:- WIFI is not for free, only if you are enrolled in their loyalty program, and still you do not get high speed internet. How is this possible in 2024, an hotel without free WIFI!- They charge a $25 resort fee that you have to spent, and it does not carry over from one day to another, and if not used you have to pay anyway. This is just a hidden fee so you spent in overpriced and bad quality services in their premisses.- We payed to have a room with a river view, but windows were so dirty the view was not enjoyable (see attached photos).- There is a lot of noise in the room from outside (boats and cars on the bridge).- Room sound proofing is bad and you can hear the showers and noises from neighbors. Particularly since there is those joint doors between rooms.- There is no fridge in the room.- The mattress protector, placed between the sheets and the mattress, had large lint balls that made the bed uncomfortable (see reference photo). This was removed upon my request though.- Staff in general is not very welcoming (only few exeptions)- They sent in a message through the booking app that they had complimentary Chicago style popcorn daily, which was discontinued a month ago, but still offered in the email they send a few days before the arrival.- Housekeeping of the room is only included for long stays and upon request. We stayed 9 nights and it was included.- Plastic glasses in the bathroom (see photo attached).I general the hotel feels old, outdated, and not up to the standard it led you to believe it is, making it overpriced for what it is. I feel it is self inflicted through bad management, since the hotel has the potential to be much more. It has made me loose respect for the brand.

Disliked: Parking my own car was a nightmare. We’ve stayed at more than two dozen different hotels in downtown Chicago and have never had to park my own car. This was a surprise for us to not have valet.
