Pretty Hotel grounds, great meet...

Liked: Breakfast was nice, I love the view of the grounds. The reception staff noticed my parents had booked in at the same time (same surname) and they kindly put us in rooms close by without us having to ask.
Disliked: Room felt very old and musty. There was an old dirty slightly sweet smell in the room that smelt like old carpets and furniture. I understand they have refurbished some of the rooms and mine looked ok but had seen better days.

Liked: The property itself is beautiful and in a decent location for what we needed it for.
Disliked: The room was not as described. TV didn’t work. Black curly hairs in the bed. Awakened every morning by the bins being rolled out (room was directly above the rubbish area), view of the car park (we paid for garden view)

Disliked: We feel we should make a complaint as our stay at your hotel did not meet our expectations.To start with, the room we had booked did not have blinds in the windows, so we were moved to a second room, which was far too small for the price we had paid. So we were again moved to a third room , which was big enough but still there were issues: the radiator in the room was far too high and we could not turn it off; while the radiator in the bathroom was not working and the bathroom was freezing. The window hinges in the bathroom were broken so we had to use the toilet roll to keep the window opened. The kettle was not clean and the water tasted funny, as it had chlorine. As this room was next to the restaurant, the restaurant fan outside kept us awake as it was very noisy. We also found the breakfast a bit too basic for the price we paid.
