Disliked: Restaurant very expensive. Car park needs resurfacing badly, bed a tad uncomfortable but nothing terrible

Okay, but could have been...

Liked: I only live around the corner, but came to spend the night to have some peace and quiet from my family and work going on in the house. I slept like I hadn't slept in a long time and got so much peace and a decent sleep.
Disliked: I had called ahead and asked if I could check out an hour later than usual at 12pm and was told this was fine and that the receptionist would make a note on my account. Whatever happened, this was not communicated to the staff. Someone knocked on my door as I was waking up, surprised that I was there. I then got a call to the room asking if I knew the check out was at 11. I explained, but no apology was offered for the interruption or miscommunication, and my peace was somewhat disturbed. I just needed to be in an environment where I wasn't going to be bothered by anyone, but was bothered twice, despite me communicating my wishes.

Disappointed in the hotel overall....

Disliked: Outside of the main reception and restaurant the building is ‘tired’ lower corridors smelled of damp carpets were filthy. That said on my floor it didn’t smell, carpets were better. Room was OK.

Disliked: Appalling wifi connectivity, in room and very poor in downstairs areas. Had to resort to hotspot instead. TV not working in room, staff unable to resolve.
