Pleasant stay. A couple of...
Liked: Tasteful room with working facilities in room and bathroom. Beautiful view from room and outdoor deck area just outside dining area. Manageable walk from city centre.
Disliked: We had thought there would be hot food e.g. scrambled eggs, mushrooms, like we had at a hotel in Stirling, Scotland, but the breakfast included was continental. The price becomes on the steep side without a cooked breakfast included.

Liked: Bed was comfortable! Had lunch there on sat it was lovely steak sandwich!! The girl working was really nice too. B bk in summer!
Disliked: Walking to bathroom but was budget room so can't complain with it for the price. And breakfast finished to early.

Would definitely stay here again...
Liked: Great location short walking distance from everything. The fry was extremely good! Well worth the extra cost. Staff were warm, welcoming and accommodating.
Disliked: Only a minor thing there is no normal handles on the door, or anywhere to hang the Do Not Disturb sign.

Disliked: Upon arrival to this property, we communicated with a worker through a Ring Doorbell where they said they were closed. The main front door was open but the next door was locked. I explained my booking was still showing confirmed through booking.com and the gentlemen quite frankly could not care in the slightest and just wanted to shift the blame away from himself. I understand if there’s a situation where there’s a lack of communication between the property and booking.com then it isn’t actually the workers fault but equally if not more so, it wasn’t our fault either. The lack of empathy for 7 people who have been let down (as a Christmas celebration night away that was a present I should add) was shocking and I believe in most cases a worker would try their best to maybe suggest alternative places? Maybe just do that little something to help out 7 people who are stranded in a city that they do not know, it is just human nature. But no, the property wanted to wash their hands of us and were blunt and unhelpful and a bit rude. We will not be back and we will not be using booking.com again.
