Good short stay in 6-bed...

Liked: Convenient location but light sleepers should bring earplugs. Friendly reception staff on check-in & out. The 6-bed female dorm on 3rd floor was more spacious than I expected, with ample room for everyone's luggage. Surprisingly there were 2 single beds in the room but I stayed in one of the (4) bunks which felt less exposed due to privacy curtains. Bedding was clean & comfy. Room had aircon as well as natural light (window could be opened) which was much appreciated. The ensuite was a bit tiny but was clean & there were other bathrooms available outside if needed.
Disliked: The storage box/shelf in the bunks are a terrible design & placed in an odd location that restricts your sleeping space, especially if you're on the taller/bigger size. The poor girl in the bunk above me kept accidentally banging her knee/leg on it throughout the night & woke up with bruises. Would make more sense for under-bed storage to be lockable or even have some small separate lockers as there was enough space in the 6 bed dorm. Need more vacuuming/cleaning under beds as lots of rubbish & dust behind the roll-out shelves. Hallway bathrooms ran out of toilet paper & floors were always wet after evening peak hours - did not see any cleaners at night. Kitchen fridges apparently had a rodent problem during my stay, so everyone had to keep food items in zipped bags - this resulted in the fridges being very full & kitchen area overall was not that pleasant to be around, sorry.

Great hostel with amazing free...

Liked: Great location surrounded by lots of restaurants, cafes, bars and lovely docklands, in city centre. Free breakfast at their restaurant round the corner, choice of any meal from the menu was absolutely delicious! The private room felt more like a hotel room. We would recommend a stay here :)

Liked: The facilities were good and the staff friendly and helpful. Nice laidback friendly atmosphere

Liked: Excellent location. Seems to be a lot of long term residents which makes meeting people hard and the rooms are full of people’s stuff spilling out everywhere. But overall the place is nice and a good choice in Melbs.
