Disliked: The hotel is quite old, but the view is stunning. The spa facilities are very basic, and the jacuzzi is a downside as it’s too cold to use. Unfortunately, there is no indoor pool, so the spa is not worth visiting. The breakfast could have been better, with very limited vegan options available. However, the beautiful garden and breathtaking scenery make up for it. The staff are friendly and welcoming, which adds to the overall pleasant experience.

Great weekend escape with mountain...

Liked: The location is beautiful with the lake and the mountain peaks in front of the hotel. This is a great escape when wanting to have the close proximity to the city of Lucerne but being away in the quietness at the same time. During winter season, it's even more picturesque and charmy with the chalets right in front of the hotel's restaurant.The rooms are clean and fresh! The breakfast buffet is big and very nice. Just keep in mind that gluten free bread is not offered unless asked for it (they need 20 min preparation to have it done). Also the restaurant offers a good selection of meals. We will happily stay here again!
Disliked: Even though my gluten intolerance was mentioned and confirmed several times, I never got offered gluten free bread. I even asked the staff to prepare for the upcoming morning, without any success. This is such a small thing that can make a huge difference in hospitality satisfaction. Also, the attention provided by the staff in the restaurant during our first dinner was not as wished for. We had to wait far too long for someone to react and to offer us our pre-reserved table. Also, when arriving with a small toddler, one could expect a faster handling when it came to the late hour. Although, important to mention is that our second dinner was 100% from start to finish! What a comeback, well done! The food itself is a 4 with improvement potential (please, work on the recipe of the port wine sauce).A general feedback is to have the staff at the front desk and working in the breakfast service to be a bit more happy and sparkly.
