Hotel is nice room nice...

Liked: The property is lovely on the outside and the room was to a nice standard I feel recently refurbished .
Disliked: Unfortunately our dinner included in the price of the deal , had to be sent back we both couldn’t cut our steaks so tough. I then asked for some water which they left a jug and no glasses I had to use my gin and tonic glass. We then ordered burger I asked for Stilton cheese on top on arrival i took the top of the bun off to see two lumps of Stilton not melted thought this was odd to see my burger wasn’t hot it was cold and raw blood had run into the bottom part of the bun all soggy . Such a shame as I then went hungry . We wasn’t brave enough to try breakfast.

Disliked: The dinner was not what I expected apart from that everything was good, very good staff, hygiene was good, I will recommend their breakfast

Liked: Room was spacious although the directions were a little confusing.
Disliked: Breakfast, poorly set out, tables were dirty and we needed to ask for cutlery, everything was running out and the staff didnt seem happy.

Liked: The receptionist was incredibly welcoming and was quick to resolve a small issue with the Internet. The room was spacious and well laid out.The food was delicious
Disliked: Whilst I accept that it is a wedding and conference venue, I was left feeling like a second-class guest when the communal bar area was filled with wedding guests, and I'm there in my jeans and t-shirt. It did not feel welcoming to me, and I felt unable to sit in there on two occasions, and indeed, even walking to the reception, I had to walk through people.If all guests are equal, then efforts should be made to ensure ALL guests feel welcome in communal areas.

Hygiene concerns

Disliked: There wasn’t any hot water in the toilets, the building was cold. I was told that the boiler was broken - how were the bar staff washing their hands? Also there was a wedding party, how were the guests washing their hands
