Liked: The hotel is conveniently located near the central station, tram stops, downtown, shopping centers, and great restaurants, making it easily accessible and offering plenty of activities. The lobby had a modern feel, in contrast to the hotel’s exterior. There is a staircase leading from the lobby to STEAKTRAIN, and it can also be accessed directly by elevator, which was convenient for us since we utilized both STEAKTRAIN and the hotel. STEAKTRAIN operates as a steak restaurant in the evening but serves as the breakfast area for the hotel in the morning.The room was neat and well-organized, and it had a mini fridge that was quite useful, with one complimentary bottle of water provided. The bathroom amenities included towels, a combined body and hair shampoo, and liquid soap. Since we visited during a snowy winter, we were concerned about heating, but we slept comfortably without feeling cold, and the breakfast was delicious.While the sound insulation between the walls was acceptable, the noise from outside the room was somewhat lacking. Conversations in normal tones from people passing by in the hallway were easily audible inside our room.■ A slightly unusual point: Although the bathroom and bedroom are structurally separated, they are essentially one space. Therefore, if you are not staying alone and are sharing the room with someone, it’s something to consider in advance. Fortunately, the toilet has a door, ensuring privacy.
Disliked: ■ A minor downside: The bathtub was old.

A very easy location and...

Liked: The location is incredible in terms of being yards from the train station, and the room was big.
Disliked: Late at night some of the staff had put a closed sign in front of the main exit and entrance that I didn’t see, and moaned when I accidentally tried to use it.

Exceptional

Liked: This is a fantastic location and a beautifully quiet and well proportioned room, with a nice desk so it's easy to work and sleep and see the city. I recommend it to anyone touring this part of Germany. It is right by the train station so you can use public transport to get anywhere else in Leipzig, or just walk to e.g. the christmas market. The breakfast room has this fantastic old train theme thing. There's great art deco everywhere.
Disliked: It was Christmas time and the breakfast room was a bit too full of of older people who were sneezing and coughing right on top of each other. I know it's not presently a lock down, but it would be nice if they assured us they had strong air filtration, and maybe if they encouraged people who were coughing to have breakfast in their rooms, not at a buffet!

Liked: The hotel is very conveniently located - very close to the main train station and tram lines. The staff were friendly and helpful; the room was clean and well equipped; the coffee machine worked well and had excellent Illy coffee. The spa area was nice with a sauna and jacuzzi/hot tub. They allowed us to store our bags after check out, so we could explore more of the city and we picked them up just before heading back to the train station.
Disliked: I wish the water in the jacuzzi had been a little bit hotter. It was a cold night and the extra warmth would have been nice- but it was fine.
