Short, a terrible experience and...

Liked: Nothing went well. Bookings.com screwed up the reservation, which I had cancelled and contacted the resort directly. But upon arrival was informed that Booking.com was still in control of the reservation. I changed the dates of travel to be able to get confirmed dates by the resort. I will never ever, ever use Booking.com for anything again!! Of course, due to an approaching hurricane the resort closed the pools, the beach, and the restaurant. Therefore, we left after one night. when you make an initial reservation Booking.com sends a confirmation and then if the resort cannot confirm it sends a revocation and tells you to contact the resort directly, which I did. I thought I was dealing with the resort directly at that point, but No-o-o-o-o-o-o. Back to Booking.com.
Disliked: RESERVATION - TOTALLY screwed up by Booking.com with help from the resort (see above).ROOM (Studio room 503)- So many things need attention. 1) The floors appeared to be clean in any sand or visible dirt but were badly in need of a mop. My granddaughter walked around in stocking feet for about 10 minutes and her socks were filthy.2) The corners of the pull-down bed (Murphy bed) were broken with sharp corners exposed. Someone not paying attention could strike the corner with their foot and receive a severe laceration or a broken foot (and the resort a lawsuit).3)HVAC system - when the air conditioning system was running it sounded like a jet airplane was taking off in the room.For maintenance, the fan limiter switch is either set incorrectly or is the wrong control. Or a damper is missing or incorrectly installed. NO ONE could sleep with such a noise. Horrible.4)The toaster is worn out and would not work. That did not happen overnight. Must be replaced.I am a Seawatch owner and usually stay in the other parts of the resort. This was a terrible experience.

Disliked: Rooms have definitely seen some wear & tear. However, they were very clean

Liked: The front desk staff, Mark was helpful.
Disliked: The room was gross, outdated bed spreads, and uncomfortable. The furniture was falling apart and dirty. The counter top was coming off. The door was difficult to open and close. Even the phones were dirty and old. The remotes didn't have backs. Our family goes to the beach several times a year and we will NEVER stay here again.
