Exceptional
Liked: a surprise upgrade to a two bdr "cabin" was very nice. the location by the water is great for taking a nice walk and relaxing. We were only there for a short one night stopover but everything was clean and comfortable. had we been there longer, the fire pits outside would have been a nice moment to enjoy.

Price is for the location....
Liked: The location and the view.
Disliked: Even renovated, the room was small, drab with no attention to details. Seems to be a recurrence with Canadian motels nowadays, something I've not experienced years prior. The plumbing needs serious attention and there needs to be a screen on the balcony door. It's October, but there were still some mosquitoes around and I can't imagine how bad it must be during the summer months. Seems there is a screen railing for each balcony, but no screens.Some of the sheets and towels were stained. The sofa bed was so old and uncomfortable that I had to sleep on the inflatable mattress we keep in the truck.The black out curtains were slightly too narrow and we had to clip them together to keep the light out.
