It was a most memorable...

Liked: We were warmly welcomed and ushered to the upstairs where we had our own bathroom n lounge n bedroom tastefully decorated. It was clean n we were welcomed with homemade butter cookies, chocolate n the usual coffee and tea as well as filtered water. There were books around us, Netflix n Google TV. We enjoyed wandering Collin’s manicured gardens. Every morning we were treated to a gourmet hot breakfast as well as home made muslei with fruit n yoghurt and toast with home made jam in the sheltered balcony overlooking Pittwater. We decided to have our 2 dinners of 3 course meals catered by Rosemary. It was delicious n beyond our expectations. Rosemary also provided lactose free milk n gluten free bread for me. We were overwhelmed by both of their warm hospitality n we love chatting with them.
Disliked: There is nothing to dislike about the property.

The most stunning setting on...

Liked: We had the best time here & highly recommend this gem of a bed & breakfast. We loved our room & the view was absolutely stunning - the only reason I didn’t give it 5 out it 5 is that it is somewhat dated, but that’s not a negative in any way - it is part of the charm of the whole lodge, which is so inviting & full of lovely furniture & interesting artwork to admire & explore.Rosemary & Colin are true professionals when it comes to what they do - you couldn’t be in better hands, seriously! The food was all so delicious - Rosemary makes almost everything from scratch I was incredibly impressed, from her own yoghurt, to cereal, bread, jams, & the freshest of herbs from their garden, which is Colin’s passion. We were visited by the local King Parrots who were incredibly tame & the kookaburras were a plenty too! We had just the right mix of time with our hosts, & time to ourselves when we had our meals. Everything was done so well, I can’t complement Rosemary & Colin enough on what they’ve created here. Writing this has taken me a little while to get to & it is making me miss our time all over again!
Disliked: Just a little dated but not a negative. The Lodge has a lovely charm about it & we highly recommend it

Exceptional

Liked: We loved everything about our stay. Rosemary and Colin were exceptional hosts and the room was glorious. We slept like logs and awoke to birdsong. Highly recommend Rosemary's optional dinner as well as borrowing the kayak for an adventure. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful place

Liked: This place is amazing!I fully recommend to have a weekend trip here, the place is lovely, with 2 amazing host that prepare the most amazing breakfast daily. They have their own fruits and veggies that taste so fresh! I recommend to have dinner here, Rosemary does an amazing job with her own recipes! But not only the food is good, the bed was one of the most comfortable bed I have been! So difficult to wake up early, you would just want to stay in bed! The place is clean and tidy, if you need anything your host would always help you. I want to come back already!

Scotland Island Lodge is a...

Liked: Rosemary and Colin are very warm and welcoming and they happily accommodated my dietary needs. The breakfast was delicious and we opted to have the dinners because there are no cafes on the island. The lodge is well located, not far from the ferry drop off and has such a friendly homely feel.
Disliked: Scotland Island itself is limited in activities on offer. There are no cafes or public amenities and only 1 small grassy area to picnic. 2 nights and 1 full day was enough time to walk around exploring the island and have time to just chill out. If I was staying longer I would take a ferry to the other local bays to explore the local bush walks and go swimming there.
