The Schlosshotel Römischer Kaiser is one of Vienna's most traditional hotels offering an ideal city centre location in a quiet side street of Kärntner Straße. The Karlsplatz Underground Station (lines U4 U1 U2) can be reached within a 5-minute walk. Built in 1684 and family-owned since 1904 this small baroque palace is only a few minutes' walk from the State Opera the Hofburg Imperial Palace and St. Stephen's Cathedral. All rooms at the Schlosshotel Römischer Kaiser are fitted with a flat-screen TV with cable channels a laptop-sized safe and a minibar. Coffee is also available in the lobby 24 hours a day. A rich breakfast buffet is available from 07:30 to 11:00 and breakfast can also be consumed in the privacy of your room. Numerous restaurants bars and cafés are in the immediate vicinity of hotel as well as the Ringstraßengalerie an inner-city shopping mall. A wonderful, comfortable stay in...

Liked: The staff were all lovely and very helpful. We received a free room upgrade on arrival and the room was quiet, charming and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. A perfect location for exploring the city

Lovely small hotel very conveniently...

Liked: Excellent location could walk to most sightseeing places and good restaurants. The hotel is on a pedestrianised road and was very quiet despite being only a couple of minutes from the Main Street.Excellent buffet breakfast.

Enjoyed it very much, would...

Liked: The hotel decor is very much in the traditional style. All areas were very tidy, and well maintained. Location-wise, you are only a 5-10 minute walk from Karlsplatz, which is a major terminus for Tram, Underground and bus services.
Disliked: On our last morning, due to our departure time, we decided to have breakfast prior to check-out. Although there was a good selection, we did feel that it was overpriced.

Liked: We just spend 3 nights here. It was a nice hotel, totally in the center, very nice barroco style. Coffee and tea in the room and a pretty bathroom.Bedsheets and pillows were so comfy.
Disliked: The carpet was dusty and worn out. Should be changed.
