Nice but not 5 star...

Liked: Lovely outdoor spa
Disliked: We ate in the bar - £18 for 6 bits of gnocchi and a couple of bits of pumpkin. Absolutely starving. Told the manager on shift in the bar that the portion size was tiny when we weren’t eating in restaurant or fine dining (rest of menu was burgers etc). She just said she’d let the kitchen know which looking back wasn’t good enough. Hotel lovely but doesn’t quite “feel” 5 star. Compared to other 5 star hotels I’ve stayed in, didn’t quite feel luxurious enough. The mini bar was unplugged so nothing was chilled. 2 small packets of borders biscuits to go with the coffee (would have liked some local biscuits or more luxurious brand).Breakfast was fab but was gutted no tattie scones or square sausage when in Scotland.
