Disliked: I stayed 5 nights and asked for cleaning every 2 days but never cleaning my room.

4 star prices, 1 star...

Liked: Location was good but that’s all it has going for it. 4 star hotel prices for one star customer service experience.
Disliked: The hotel promises “After a long flight guests can relax in Stavanger’s Airport Sauna”. This was clearly not the case. Went I went into the gym and sauna with my family there was a football team playing extremely loud music on their phones in the sauna and gym. When I complained to the receptionist his response was that “but it’s a football team” and looked surprised that I complained. Seriously for a 4 star hotel? My daughter and wife didn’t go because they did not feel comfortable. Then when they left I showed pictures of the state the team left the facilities. Again response was “but it’s a football team “. No apology and not even a promise to clean the facilities. I had to prompt the person to have a word with the responsible coach / adult. Surely some proactive customer service rather than defending unacceptable behaviour considering my family was staying at a 4star hotel and paying a premium. Rooms were also cold with no climate regulation options. Food menu was bland just burgers and Caesar salad type options no Nordic cuisine to try. I sent two emails with pictures also asking for a partial refund and did not receive a lot response. Will certainly not stay at a Scandic branded hotel again unless there is some sort of adequate response and compensation for the low value experience provided.Picture of the state of facilities included for people to make their own judgement.
